I changed all my Gold emblems to chrome. A guy who works for Lexus was selling parts on Ebay. He didn't have emblems listed, but I asked him and he said he'd do it. So I got a whole '95 ES300 set for like less then $80 I believe. Original parts, and they look much better than the faded gold ones. Just ask the users on Ebay if they have any. If they can sell the gold ones, they should be able to get chrome ones, I'll see if I can get the guys name and number from the dealership where I got mine. If not search some other sites. Good luck

I paid $88 at the parts counter last fall for the set of chrome emblems. I changed out the faded gold with fresh chrome, I would have done so sooner if could have made up my mind between the chrome and the black pearl.

i enjoy my gold pkg emblems. i personally like them on my pearl white lex. very smooth look. but then again in my opinion, all three colors work well with Lexus' Pearl White paint tone.

I was thinking the same thing this morning. I love the look of the black badges on the white ES body in general. In fact, on my way to work, I saw a '95 or '96 pearl white ES coach edition w/ black pearl emblems. Even though I also have a '96 black ES coach, it definitely put a smile on my face every time I see a 1st-gen ES in unique body and emblem colors (especially the rare body color, burgundy red!).

area1 es30...didn't your ES come with chrome emblems? my 02 did.
your ES is black right?...I think I remember the picture. I thought chrome was standard on black.
If your emblems aren't chrome, what did it come with?

Ditto! My pearl white/tan ES300 had gold emblems, which looked very nice, along with factory chrome wheels. The gold 'L' in the center of the chrome wheels looked great. The car also had a gold pinstripe running down the side, which matched the emblems. Very sharp, gave the car a very upscale and ritzy look compared with 'plain' ES300s.

yeah well. the gold pkg stuff isn't free, guys... lol
the emblems from lexus themselves here in dallas is $400 with the car. i don't know how much it is for a new set.

my mom's onyx black RX had gold pkg installed, and it was $400, but there was no charge on the invoice, so we got it for free, i guess.

but black and gold isn't bad. although black and black pearl would've looked nicer. i think it's about time to take off my Park Place Lexus tag. since the last time my ES went there was like 2 years ago.

if you haven't already, do a search on how to carefully remove your current emblems.
I have read several threads in the past few months, but I think they were under detailing or maint.

good luck.

Search for "debadging," there have been threads on techniques in several forums. I definitely remember seeing a discussion in the SC430 forum, I would just choose to "search all available forums." Most of the techniques involve a hair dryer and some high-strength dental floss.
