Default Air Bag - Passenger Side

Has anyone had this happen to their ES330(see pictures)? The passenger air bag seems to be partially deploying. Does anyone know if there was a recall for this occurrence?

Seen it before, usually hot climates, such as Cali, I think the dash glue doesn't hold well around the edge and it peeling up. Don't think the air bag is at fault.

mine does that too but little bit better shape. I was wondering if the airbag went off due to an accident before I purchased it and was glued or something. Does anyone know if that's the case?

It was covered by warranty when the car was still eligible for it. Required the replacement of the whole dash.

This is common and has been discussed before.

Its mostly an issue on the 4ES and Gen 5 Camry that use the same airbag cover.

Mine has it too here in Texas. It's a pain to look at, but nothing's wrong with it. I almost feel like I could re-glue it if I had the inclination.

Yikes! Times like this, I'm glad to live in no-so-hot Oregon. It seems like Toyota/Lexus had some issues with their dashboards in the mid to late '00's. This almost sounds similar to the "sticky" dashboard problems on the 6th Generation Camrys : http://www.click2houston.com/news/dr...fixed/27325818
