Default es300 engine shock absorber

What is the part # for engine shock absorber that's mounted in front of engine bay? Ours is shot, I pushed it down and it wouldn't come up.

I unbolted it and pushed down on it and it just stayed down without rising back up. So it's pretty much shot, right? Just like regular suspension strut on a car.

No the engine shock controls movement but it is not pressurized like a suspension strut which will extend on its own.

What's the point of it then if it doesn't do anything. I was able to move it around with my hand while it was tightened.
