no, if anything, they should raise your car a bit if you are currently running on very old and worn out struts. get LOWERING SPRINGS if you want to lower your car an inch, not LOWERING STRUTS.

Yeah, the struts won't lower the car, and new struts may raise it a little like mezoom said, especially the rear which seems to usually be a little more prone to sagging.

I've got the Tokico's on mine, I've been happy with them. If I remember correctly, you've got Eibach springs, the struts would complete the handling package, the ride will probably be firmer, but more controlled. Even if your stock struts are in good shape now, they won't last that long with the added stress of a lowered car, aftermarket struts would be a good idea ASAP. The KYB's are another option, McElligot has the Eibach/KYB combo and he really likes it.

yea i have the lowering springs already, so after i get new struts my car's gonna get lifted,

are the Tokico's struts better or KYB
Which one cost more,

and also you guyz know where i could get a camber kit,
for the Alignment

i found one made by eibach for 27 for the back and another 27 for the front, is that a good deal.

Yeah, it may be lifted a little, but I wouldn't think it'd be significant unless your struts are real worn out right now.

I don't know if the Tokico's or KYB's are better, haven't used the KYB's or seen enough experiences to say.

Now, the point of this post; I bought the Eibach camber kits and the shop that did my alignment said the bolt didn't fit where it needed to, so they couldn't use the kit. They got the camber within specs without them, but I wasted about $50 on the camber kits; I don't know if mine were a fluke, the parts got mismarked at the factory, or what happened; I can't imagine they all wouldn't fit, but that's just my little warning on the camber kits.

actually the rears are almost never needed unless big drop is done
my 18's really need them in front though with the one inch drop
as the inside of the tires edge aren't that great after 2 years while the rest of the tire is 70 % left
wanna sell your fronts?

Struts don't lower ANY car no matter what anyone says. However, lowering springs do drop the car's ride height.

I recommend the Tokico over KYB simply because the dampening rate is much better. KYB's ride close to stock...the Tokicos are better.

That's my overall impression too; the ride's not quite as soft and luxurious, but I think it feels better; handling and stability are much improved; and for me that outweighs the stiffer ride.

I can't imagine all the Eibach camber kits being defective like mine, so that'd probably be a good route to go, I don't know of any other company that makes camber kits for the ES (they may exist, but I don't know of them).

You don't need a camber kit for your macpherson strut suspension. Eibach makes a camber kit for the Camry chassis of lowered suspensions. Tt's not necessary since it doesn't have a cambering problem like double wishbone suspensions do when they're dropped.

That is definitely a trade off of comfort vs. better handling. You really can't have both.
