Replace rear tailight on ES 330
Hello, I just joined the site, and I have two Lexus's one is an ES-330 and the other is a RX-350. I cracked my right rear taillight I wanted to know if anyone can me give any details on how to replace it since I already purchased one from the dealer? This is on my ES 330.
I don't have an ES, but should be the same as most other Lexus's. open the trunk and pull back the carpeting/liner which should reveal 3 nuts to undo then the taillight should be able to pop out
Welcome to CL!
You can find tail light replacements on eBay really low priced. I'm talking OEM, used ones off of totalled ES's.
As for replacing it, is it the trunk lid piece, or the outer taillight? The process is virtually the same.
There is a plastic liner on the trunk that you must pop the plastic screws off and also unscrew the trunk net hooks and pop them off.
Now you should be able to freely move the trunk liner/material and peel back to expose the back of the rear taillight.
The rear light should have 3 bolts, size 10 socket. Very easy remove/install. Be careful not to break any bulbs when unscrewing the wiring harness on the back of the taillight.

Like, I mentioned earlier, I am the proud owner of two Lexus of which one is an ES-330 that I spoke about cracking the right rear taillight. I do thank all of you that replied with information about replacing the light. I did buy an replacement light from from the dealer, but I wanted to know how to change it properly.
As my company was sold and left me unemployed, so I have to find ways to save money until I find employment. Also, I have monitors installed in my RX-350 2011, so I have "two" brand new head rests to sell. $75 dollars plus cost to ship them is all that I am asking for them, so make me an order.
