Rear End of Car Swaying side to side
Does anyone know what it could possibly be? The alignment is good and I'm fairly positive the tires are ok, Has anyone else experienced this? Its a 2001ES300 i have replaced the struts, but they were aftermarket Sensens so i guess they could have blown again

Struts could be worn, I say get it up in the air, shake the rear tires with your hands at 12 and 6 and then a 9 and 3. If you have any movement more than like a 1/32 inch something is wore out and needs replacing. If there is no play, try to move all the control arms up down in out check all bolts and bushings and mounts in the rear. Play with the sway bar with it down on the ground, check end links. Push the back of the car down, does it go down up and settle or does it wobble after you let go? Rotate your tires front to back. If you go through all that with no results look into strut mounts and alignment issues front and rear oh make sure the rear sub frame is secure and bushings are good oh and first things first check tire pressures should be somewhere around 32 you can air them up to 35 if you want for your year and rim size if stock. 17's go to about 35-37 psi if 18 go to 38 to 40psi same for 19's or 20's maybe a few psi more.
If you're not really the mechanic type you should still be able to do all this in your driveway in less than an hour or two. I think I just about covered everything and it'll be free to check all that yourself except the alignment which should run less than 80 bucks at a good mom and pop shop.
Get back to me good luck jonny

I think its the struts them cause the tires in the back if i kick them make a rattle noise and when i did put it up in the air i could move them, The car tracks straight so idk its that, it could be the bushings, but last time i was at the dealerhsip they didnt say anything. If i push down on the struts they seem reall soft but the second push down they firm up again?

The struts seem to be worn, try some KYB next time around really good struts and close to OEM ride. The only strut related issues that would let you move the tires is either the strut studs being lose behind the rear seat, or the strut bolts being loose. Where do they move 12-6 or 9-3? 12-6 is either going to be bushings in the control arm or bad rear wheel bearings. 9-3 is usually control arm but can be bearing related too. The tires shouldn't move at all and money says bearing. You should make a video of how the tires move and the noise they make when you kick them.

Did you replace the entire thing? Or just the rubber bushings? The car also has a leaking rear seal (not fixing that) i think the steering rack bushings are worn(need to see how much this will be to fix when it gets bad) and the blower motor makes a weird noise from time to time (will try to fix this myself)

And did you replace the lateral control arms? Because http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/10...ntrol-arm.html this video is almost exactly my car

I had the lateral's replaced. One of mine had a slight bend to it. Get new bolts, they expand/rust and most likely will break one or two. My mech ordered four just in case, but only needed one or two in the end. 16$/each and are about a 10" in length.
I did not change the trailing arms. I noticed the ***-end would sway rather easily before and these fixed it up.
With the amount of work you've done to yours I'm surprised you're still willing to put more work into it....

Eh the car is still costing me less than 150 bucks a month (as of now) on repairs so I don't mind, besides I don't mind spending the money. I have another car but I can't get myself to get rid of this one, and the body and interior are in absolutely mint condition so it has that going for it. I think since 2001 for unexpected repair maybe 7 grand which I don't think is to bad for 220k miles and 12 years. Back to the topic ill replace the rear struts and lateral control arms and hopefully it takes care of the problem. When it's just me in the car the swaying is almost zero to one, but when there's more weight it is more pronounced
