My First Lexus - 96 ES300 that needs TLC
First time Lexus owner and I am very excited about the journeys to come.
1996 Lexus ES300 (Gold Package)
179,000+ miles
Needed Maintenance:
Timing belt and water pump
Front passenger turn signal
Alignment
Attach or replace exterior fuel door
Properly clean throttle body
Oil Change
Windshield washer pump
Needle LEDs on cluster
Fix fog lights
Electric buttons for fuel door and trunk do not work
Hood struts
Hydraulic cooling fan conversion to electric cooling fan
Maintenance I've Done:
Fixed power steering leak
New spark plugs and wires
New air filter and cabin filter
Cosmetic To-Do List:
Reupholster driver and passenger seats or replace with better conditioned ones
Replace the broken plastic vents
Replace wood grain trim with better and/or newer trim
Re-polish golden emblems (I like the gold with green)
Reupholster center console or replace
Cosmetics I've Done:
Replaced torn backseat with excellent condition and cared for 97 ES backseat (yes, had to alter to fit)
Excellent condition cargo linear and mat in trunk (from same 97 ES)
Mods that came with purchase:
Kenwood DDX370 DVD display/head unit
Planned Future Mods:
LED bulbs (headlights, interior, trunk, etc.)
New Paint Job
Rain guards on windows
Tint windows
Upgrade speakers, amp, and add subs
Bluetooth integration
Rear view and dash camera
SATnav
That is all I've got done and what comes to mind as of right now. I am open to suggestions and ideas, so please feel free to point me in the right direction on Club Lexus!
The parts from the 97 ES were from a totaled ES in a junkyard if anybody was curious. For my tech and electronic people, I do want to somehow integrate a Raspberry Pi into my ES as a media center and/or use a ODBII sensor to show real time stats, error codes, etc.. If you have any experience or know where I could read and look, feel free to message me what you have or come across. Also, I have looked far and wide on this forum, many like it, and all over the internet for a DIY tutorial or guide on how to convert from a hydraulic cooling fan to an electric cooling fan. If you have done this or know of someone or somewhere that has done this and have conversion instructions, that would be awesome! That's all for now. Looking forward to the criticism and/or feedback!

Hi, I'm New here!
Hi everyone, I'm new to Club Lexus and a new Lexus owner the end of last year. I have a 2006 ES330 with 98700 miles. I am the third owner. It's Pearl White with Cashmere interior. It has the factory Nav unit installed.
My next project is to install a USA SPEC BT45-TOY unit to add Bluetooth capability.

2005 ES 330 metallic silver
Hi. New here. Bought this 2005 ES330 back in 2014 in excellent cond. with 60k miles. It came with maintenance records indicating routine maintenance from the dealership, timing belt and waterpump were replaced prior to my purchase. Exterior 10, interior 10. grey leather interior seats, zebra wood. Now in 2018, she's at 102k miles and still running extremely well.
mods: yellow fogs, LED front corners, all LED interior, LED's at rear license plate. Darkest legal tint on all windows. Metallic silver rear window lip and trunk lip. 19" TRD rims from a scion, wrapped with 35's. Lowered on ksport pro coilovers. Stock sounds but added tweeters, bluetooth to tapedeck adapter, and a 10" sub with remote control **** under the dash.
Plan to: do the independent fog light mod, change fog and low beams to LED, searching for dual voltage LED bulbs for the DRL/highbeam.
nice to meet you all. Hoping to learn new things here, and meet other enthusiasts of this "granny car". LOL! honestly though, the ES330 is so non attention grabbing, it let's my moderate drop fly under the radar.

Newbie on board, well sorta.
Hello fellow 300’s. Nice to meet you, visited off and on often. Then I picked up these babies, then I started hanging out here more, and more. So I decided to move in. The Pearl is a 97 the Silver is a 2000.
Pearl has 2k tail lamps red and black
LS400 yellow fogs
JDM side markers
Silver....mmm well it’s stock for now babies first car so...gotta wait
Just got her 97
1 mo later yellowed out fog’s, Toyo to Toyo upgrade.
Felt a little Japan flow through me one night, love small fac upgrades. Front lip coming soon
Daughter needed a car so I picked up the 99 for $600 gonna leave her stock though.

Update on minor body panel addition
So after looking and looking and googling and finding no solution for a lip, I went to digging because I’m not really a body kit person. But I came across a lip from someone which needed modification, then I found a fully rubber flexible option form a Cadillac no less for like $15 at the junk yard. So anyway fully intent on using rubber lip ended up using other lip with mods needed, still work in progress but here’s the first steps... thoughts, comments, questions,suggestions.....
Had to cut and mount from each side, next step fill gap, thinking of foam to creat template then combo of fiberglass and rubber. Or fill and merge into one complete bumper with fiberglass ....
