Rear bumper cover repair or replacement

I mentioned earlier the remanufactured rear bumper covers available on eBay from SW Auto Parts, of Houston. Here's their reply to my email questions: "Yes it is an original Lexus part that has been repaired from scratches, scuffs and nicks, stripped of completely,primed,3 stage paint and clear coated."
So, if I decide to go this route, how do I remove the existing bumper cover? I do see two bolts, one behind each rear wheel.

Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread, but my wife has a 3 month old Rx350, and the paint from the factory !! is peeling from the top of the rear bumper cover, at the top edge. Are you saying you can strip the paint from the cover, and prep it and repaint so that it is as good as new? The dealer told us that Lexus won't pay for a new cover even though its a new car. Really scared they're going to strip it and it the paint will have problems fading, peeling in a few years. Thanks everyone.

If the paint is peeling the bumper was not painted properly. Have you owned it since new? Its probably a poor repaint. No they won't replace the cover, no point...the covers come unpainted. It should be stripped, properly prepped, and painted and it should be fine.
I've never heard of factory paint failure like that on a Lexus...or really any modern car. Even if you bought it new, I bet the bumper was damaged in transit and painted.

I live in the San Francisco East Bay Area. In November 2012, I scraped the corner of my rear bumper on my 2002 ES300. I took my car to Mike Rose's Auto Body, in Lafayette. They removed the cover, sanded it as necessary, painted snd clear-coated it (Millenium Silver), and then reinstalled it. The work was impecable- perfect match on the silver. cost: $587.87 (two hundred less than a nearby body shop quoted). I've used Mike Rose before, in Walnut Creek. They do quality work.
