Lol you can get a Craftsman tool set like I have for 70 bucks at Christmas, plus a jack and jack stands for 40-50 bucks on sell. 20 dollar hanes manual and you can do brakes. It's not that hard just takes time and you have to do it right. Or you die XD.

Yea no pressure Gabe but seriously you can do whatever you put your mind too, I started doing brakes when I was 12 and let me tell you I've learned a lot in my 17 years man. Mr. Booby you asked me ages ago about 10w30 right? Heres you're answer. I know 10w30 will not flow as fast but oil pressure is important too and my car seems to take a split second longer for the dummy light to go on on 10w30 HM but it goes right out not flickering out which I think means more pressure.

well johnny 70$ is alot for me right now! haha i actually have one of those basic craftsman kits i bought for like 90$
its sad i use maybe like 10 sockets.. and of course i would lose a ton of them too hahaha and don't you need like a special tool for brakes? some kind of mallet/hammer thinger and a caliper grabber?

anyways! i installed HIDS!!!! wooot!! wasn't that hard..

too bad i don't have a drill.. i think i really need to invest in a good jack, and a good drill..

my piece of crap harbor freight drill failed on me :/

I understand what you mean about the money, for brakes all you need is basic tools for our cars anyways. Unless you are working on the parking brakes then you may need drum brake tools(cheap). You could pick one up for cheap seeing as it Christmas time.

So I got me a le speeding ticket last month. Costed me 300 bucks or so, no points, nothing on my record but that was money for the car. But look in the trunk I got a present for myself even though I had the ticket. As a matter of fact I got two XD. They've been on the car for about 2 months but you guys will have to wait Keep in mind all my pictures are delayed but about a month at this stage.

As a matter of fact I just got me some a used Beltronics was like 400 new lol. I wired it into my sunroof controls there is a hot wire up there. I'll put pic up soon.

The jack was supposed to be $100 but it was on sale for $60 picked it up. Works ok so far. However is sinks after being put up loaded or unloaded. So I'll look into either getting air out, topping off the fluid or replacing it with sears great warranty. It might still be on sale but I couldn't recommend because it sinks.

Here's the jack I bought because I needed a low-profile one. It works great and can get really low cars:

Ouch that price hurts ME but for a low profile it's a great deal. But that's a great jack I only gave 60 new for mine and it turns out it was a little low on fluid and had some air in it all is well for now with it. I surely don't get under any car just on a jack I don't care if it's 5 grand I use jackstands, centerblocks, and I stick the wheels under the car for good measure. Lowering my car is a possibility in the future I'll look into that brand of jack since you like it.

Default The project begins...

So I start with some rims. They came off an IS300 17x7 50mm offset. Next up is the engine its a long story but I'm swapping in a healthy 1mz and it's getting some love(hp) before I put it in. You guys need to set tight because this old Thread is about to get more interesting.
