Anybody else impressed with the mileage on their ES?
OK so I wasn't expecting great mileage out of a larger, V6 car, but my '03 ES does pretty good! Got 406 miles out of my last tank, and the light just came on. The car claims it's averaging 25.9 MPG, and I do pretty mixed driving...about 50% city : 50% highway. For the record, this is much better than my '05 four-banger Mitsubishi Galant used to get.
I wonder if I could get close to 500 miles out of a tank on a highway-only, cruise-controlled road trip?
So what is everyone else getting for MPGs in their ES's?

I get 615km (382 mi) on my last tank before my light came on. 75% hwy/ 25% city, sometimes with AC on.
Average 9.5 L / 100 km (24.7 mpg) on my 05 ES330 with the 3MZ-FE.
I confirmed that my fuel economy gauge was accurate by measuring it at the pump.
This is a bit worse than my Camry 4 banger I had (28mpg), though its not as bad as I thought.

I drive about 80 miles everyday, 25 highway, remaining local roads very very few lights/stop signs and almost always use 87octane Costco gas. If I drive without worrying about mileage, I get 24-25 mpg. But if I drive with mileage in mind (i.e. no sudden acceleration, no hard brakes, 60-65 mph on highway, 40-45 mph on local roads), I get as much as 28 mpg. I have had 400+ miles per tank many times. On 10 miles stretch of highway, my car tells me I got 32 mpg.

I get about 380 miles out of a tank...average about 23mpg on combined highway, city and country driving.
Its not amazing fuel economy but its pretty good for a big V6 luxury sedan. I have gotten up to 28mpg on roadtrips.
I also have a heavy right foot.

I'm not all that impressed with city mpg, it's not bad, but it's not good either. I'm averaging 19mpg and dropping according to the on-board computer, this is with a bit of highway driving too. A bit disappointing but I blame it on my driving style. The reason I say it's disappointing is because I can get 18+ mpg out of my RX driving the same way if not even driving more aggressively. Hopefully, my city mpg improves though as I did just clean the MAF sensor in my ES. I'll keep you guys updated.
But, the ES really shines on highway driving. I was averaging 32 plus for a good 20 miles going at 70mph, a bit slower than my usual pace but still very impressive number for a 10 year old V6 luxury sedan.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the fuel economy. I wish city mpg were a bit better but I think if I can keep my foot out of it then the mpg would improve.

miles per tank means little you need to measure how much gas you put in the car. How big is the 02+ tank?
I drive mostly city so I get 18-21 in my 01 ES depending on how much highway each tank.
It's not great but not bad. I saved money on purchase price a new Camry hybrid could double my MPG but then I would have to have a payment.

2002+ ES tank is 18.5 gallons, same as 2001.
