I bought a GS and a set of chromes to bedazzle the groupies.....now they all do this when they see me . I get quite a different reaction to the GS then I got with the ES.

Default Where I stand

My '01 ES, bought 2-1/2 years ago w/ 63,890 miles on the clock, currently has a little over 115,000 miles. No mechanical problems at all, little to no oil is burnt, and I keep her washed and detailed once every 2-3 weeks. She's my daily driver and major pride, and I see no interest in letting her go

Default 250K and then some

My 1992 ES300 hit 250K a year ago. It now reads 267K.

I'm going to plagiarize myself from Lexusownersclub.com and repeat the following...

---

(Note: I don't usually cruise at redline. This was a special occasion!)

And here's the video:

Lexus rolling over 250K

I'm sure there are ES300's out there with 300K+. In the last few years mine has gradually increased it's oil consumption to the tune of 1 qt/2000 miles. I believe this is mostly due to oil leakage through the valves as it cools down, which creates a puff of blue smoke at almost every cold start. There is _no_ sign of oil coming out the exhaust when running warm.

Apart from wear-and-tear items I consider part of routine maintenance (CVs, timing belt, struts, brakes), the only mechanical parts it has needed are: valve cover gaskets, steering rack, and a radiator. Given that it's been driven a steady 18K per year for nearly 14 years, I'm amazed that it's never needed a wheel bearing, a starter, an alternator, any pump or other mechanical accessory. Apart from the blinking instrument cluster needles, the only electronic failures have been a power window switch panel and the CD player (it kept ejecting the magazine).

I'd like to keep driving it until the oil consumption gets unreasonable and/or engine failure, at which point someone should swap in a good used powerplant - because the body is currently excellent, and the rest will doubtlessly still function. I doubt I'll have the interest in renewing it's life, since the form factor is becoming less and less of a fit with our family lifestyle. Rather a pity.

But it has been, and continues to be, economical, comfortable, reliable luxury. It looks and drives like it's fuel comes from the fountain of youth!

I had both my motor mounts replaced yesterday at Longo Lexus which cost me $440. I have over 256K miles and the car is much smoother now that I replaced the motor mounts. I'm sure I can go another 256K miles with my ES 300...

I have a 92' ES 300 with 290,000 miles on it and it runs sweetness. I won't ever get another make of car. I love Lexus and I will always buy Lexus. And it helps that I want to be a Lexus mechanic too and going to school !

I've gotta say that I'm impress that your gauge lights still all work. Not even that, they look brand new!

My ES has 240K and only the backlights work. No needles.

120,000...

2000 Lexus ES300... many issues with it. Its on the secound transmission, and is currently in the shop getting both knock sensors and thte sway bar replaced. Half the lights in the center counsle burnt out, the tail lights burn out 3 times a year, the cup holders don't hold drinks, the center consol storage compartment thingy broke, and is now being held down with velcro. The headlights HID sensor is broken, which causes my lights to aim up and blind everyone, I get many highbeams a day, and Lexus wants 700 dollars just for the sensor. The paint inbetween the windows is fading and peeling off also. The Lexus dealership has treated us like complete **** also, which is quite stupid saying its time for us to buy a new car, and they knew we where interested in buying another Lexus, but after our expierience, the Benz dealer will most likely be seeing us.

Default I have 283,000 Miles +

I have 283,000 Miles +

it's my car washed pic.

I had some oil licks but.. also she was stopped cuz of transmisson ****ed up 2010 nov.
i diseded to fix that up and some maxican machanic fixed with $950. it was not fix, it was rebuilt. wasn't it cheep huh?
and luckly, they guys screw the bolts in every engine when they finished up very tightly. so there's no more oil licking right now..
this easily.

and there was driver seat side window failure. but i bought window module from ebay. and i fixed.

if my cars timing belt gose down.. then ill think about to fix or smashed my car..
im keep thinking.

im very good at car wash so it looks good. i love my ES300 1996 model(same as 1995)

if my car hit 300,000 mile with out problem then ill fix up the engine mount and ill repaint my car to real gold color.
