paint and body work or trade, sell
Need some help. I have a 04 ES, dark blue, best car i ever owned. 91000 miles, new brakes, timing belt, water pump, interior mint. Need some body work. Small dent in the hood, front and rear bumpers need to re-painted, dent in fender, about the size of a quarter, door dent, a little bigger, lower part of door. Should I get this fixed or find a another car with less miles, found a 05 ES car looks mint, 71000 miles. Is it worth putting the money into the body work and paint? I have done paint and body work on a lot of cars in my younger years, and to do it right, you pay for it. I'm thinking get it fixed, keep it, just wanted some input on this. Thanks.

well, if the 05 is going for a steal, and you can get some decent coin for your 2004, i'd swap and not mess with body work. The price difference could be what it would cost you to fix yours and 'upgrade' to a year newer & 20k miles less...
That's my voice of reason in this case.

I'll keep it, great car, just pissed about the small dents ,stone chips, etc. the dark blue shows everything. When my work picks up I'll get it fixed. I have seen some 04 ES's with a ton of miles and look brand new and a clean carfax, and taking a closer look I could tell they were repainted. thanks for the help, this site is very helpful.
