how to check ENGINE ABSORBER

Did anyone know how to check 93 es300 ENGINE ABSORBER (good or bad)? Did it check as Shock Absorbers?

It moves quite freely unlike a suspension shock I would leave it alone unless it shows obvious signs of leaking.
