1999 ES 300 door lock actuator
I have a 1999 ES 300, My driver's side door lock is failing on me. The remote does not unlock/lock the driver's side door, but the rest of the door's do work fine. I have tried using the power switch on the door and the unlock/lock switch moves very little and all of the other doors work fine. Can anyone help me and tell me.. Can the actuator motor be replace or do I need to purchase a driver's side door actuator assembly? Can someone give me instructions and show me pictures on how to replace this part.

My door lock actuators are failing intermittently. BTW, I've found this on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FC-280PC-221...0a2b18&vxp=mtr

i went through this on my Cadillac. Actuator=motor btw. I was able to pull just the actuator off the assembly, but the way the door is set up on my Seville made it a very difficult process (I don't know how the 3ES doors are set up). Assuming that there are basic principles shared by all doors, there will be teeth on the motor and lock that you will need to align too. I would take a look at the door first, see if you can get at the motor, and if so replace it. Sometimes there isn't already info out there on how to do these things so good luck.

I have replaced a couple of these on my es. Look for a door lock actuator. It will be the entire assembly. Kind of a pain on the front two doors as they have the exterior lock. You have to remove the exterior door handle to get it all taken loose. There are lots of rods and plastic clips holding it all in place. Not too difficult but like I said kind of a pain. If you have issues once you get into it just post and we will be glad to help.
