Ok so i have a 1995 ES300 with the base sound system from what i understand. I have a 6 disk changer in the trunk, so I loaded it up with CD's for the first time last night to recieve a ERR message on the radio screen. What would be yalls trouble shooting steps to get this issue resolved? Thanks so much.

 

Was it ERR with a number? I know in the Camry owners manuals, they list what the error messages mean. Not sure on the ES though.

Hmmm.....weird. Usually there is a number from what I know. I will say chances are it needs to be replaced unfortunatley. But I'd have to check it in person to see. Electrical issues are not easy to figure out.

 

One of two likely possibilities for your "ERR" message:

1) You loaded the CD's upside down. Which you may well have done, this being your first time. Eject the CD Tray, and flip the CD's over.

2) Make sure that you are not trying to play MP3 CD's. These will not work in your car. Try standard pre-recorded CD and see what happens.

also, cold weather affects the playing. if it is too hot, cold, humid, or damp in the trunk, it will not work
