Periodic radio drop-outs on one FM station
I have a very strange problem with one radio station in my 2002 ES 300. Whenever I try to listen to FM station 92.5, I get a half second sound drop-out every 4 seconds. It's as if someone is briefly pressing a mute button everyone 4 seconds. It's really annoying. This doesn't happen with the radio in my truck or with my home stereo. I have the standard radio without the sub woofer. Does anyone have ideas as to what's going on? Thanks in advance!

have not idea why it happens but it used to happen to my 02 ES as well. I discovered and easy fix for this.
push your preset so that you are listening to your suspect station, 92.5. Now use the dial and turn it to another station. Push and hold the preset button so that you now program the 92.5 button to this new station. After a few seconds, use the **** to dial back to 92.5. Reset your preset to 92.5 and the problem should go away. Mine would do this only on the station I listened to constantly. Reprogramming the preset after manually tuning to the desired station seems to aleviate the problem for a while.
Try it and let me know how it works. It never failed for me. I found I would have to do this about 2x a year.
