I have a '95 es300. The first and second generation es300's share most components. My research indicates that there is a 40 amp fuse/relay. It is supposed to be in the dashboard fuse area, but I was unable to locate it. I have gleaned recently that there is a unit called a choke coil located either in the "c" pillar behind the upholstery or in the trunk under the package tray just under the "c" pillar on the drivers side, of second generation es300's. We both should shoot for that. Once you have it in your hand, try and figure out how to test it before you buy a new one. They aren't cheap, a trip to a self service wrecking yard could save you over eighty percent. If you can, for that cheap, pick up a couple of them. Keep posted on your progress.
