Default 99 ES300 check engine/trac off light

OK I have done some searching on the forum and I suspect this may be an 02 sensor/A/F sensor issue... however I don't know what codes its throwing for sure... Is there a way to manually check the codes from the diagnostic port? I read that with the OBD1 cars you can jump E1 and TE1 in the diagnostic port, I tried that but it didn't seem to work... Is there a way to do that with this car or do I need to take it to auto zone and have them hook it to the scanner?

this happened on my 97 ES 300 about a year and a half ago. Yes, faulty O2 sensor.

Had this happen to me twice actually. First time was a bad O2 sensor, 2nd time was a bad actuator on one of the cylinders. Your best bet is to take to Autozone or Advance Auto and see if they will let you use their code reader.

What was the code it pulled when it was the actuator? Mine pulled a p1130... Ive replaced the front side bank 1 o2 sensor then also the one on the back manifold next to the fire-wall.. I also changed the fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, gas cab, and ran a tank of premium with sea foam.... Light is still coming back....
