Default Buying A 2001 Es300. What Issues To I Need To Be Concerned About?, es300 reliability

I currently have a 1995 Acura Legend GS and with 147k miles. I've always feared having a head gasket blowing on me (common problem) or the tranny starting to slip so I've decided to sell.

I've owned a few Toyota’s in my day and have been very pleased with the reliability. Other than oil changes, I've pretty much had nothing to worry about. I am looking at buying a 2001 Lexus es300 with 80k to 100k miles. What are common problems with this vehicle? What do I need to look out for when researching which es300 to buy?

Also, what maintenance items will I be hit with as I go 100k+ miles?

Thank you for your input!

I've owned a 2000 es300 since May.
I have 150,000klm and have done 1 oil change ... that's it.
I have the complete service history on my car from Ken Shaw Lexus
of Toronto. Lots of preventative maintenance, brake, tires, and that's
about it.
Seems to be about as reliable a car as you can purchase. So far, its more reliable
than my 2000 LS400, and that car was pretty damn good.

I've owned a 2000 ES300 for 185k miles. only thing i've had to change was the 100k tune up (timing belt, water pump, etc). Still ran like a champ when it was totalled in an accident.

You guys think it would be a pretty bad idea to jump in an ES with 150k? I used to have a GS and those 2jz engines are bullet proof. I ran that thing forever and it still had lots of life but i sold it. Now im wondering is it the same for the es?
