91 es250 hub runout & axle play
My 91 es250,145000, is making some front end noises like there are loose components.
Pulled both front tires checked the struts, which were recently replaced, checked the brake system, tie rod ends, bushings and the only place I can find any significant play is in the axle. On one side it will move in and out about a .0625" (1/16") and the other about .03125" (1/32"), obviously inexact but well more than the .0028" allowed in the service manual.
Is this a major issue like the front end is about to go if I don't get it replaced immediately or kind of a annoyance but can go another 50000 miles on it.
Obviously, I am not going to hold anybody liable for their opinion, just wondering if any of you all have had any experience with such a thing.
