I Been Skinned Alive !
...Wheelskinned that is! 
After debating the merits (and associated costs) of replacing, repairing, or reskinning my worn steering wheel, I opted for a Wheelskins (TM) Euro-Perf steering wheel cover, and I gotta say, I think the end result is pretty nice, IMHO. The instructions say it takes about an hour to stitch the cover onto the wheel. To be able to do it in that time would probably take a skilled leather craftsman with at least 20 years experience.
It took me almost 3 hours and plenty of patience and determination to do it right, but I think my perserverance paid off.
Not totally factory looking, but fairly close to it.
The quality of the product is excellent. The leather is supple, luxurious and soft, which of course is a necessity if it's going into a Lexus!

I think the key to a favourable outcome is to make sure each stitch is sinched as tight as possible as you make your way around the wheel. It took me a while to get the hang of it (yeah, like 3 hours!) but I didn't do it all in one session. I started it on Friday after work but after an hour and a half it was getting too dark out to see what I was doing, so I left the second half until Saturday morning. I'm sure a few of my neighbours were wondering what in the "H" I was doing sitting in the car for so long and not going anywhere...lol
Oh, and to 92ES5sp: I got an e-mail from you know who this aft. about the you know what kit....it's on its way!

I love how it thickens the steering wheel tho. Very comfortable! Well worth the $45!

Looks amazing bro! I'm glad you took your time to make it perfect. You'll love the look and feel of it for a long time.

I guess maybe mine took longer 'cause my fingers were going numb from the cold...it was below freezing here this weekend. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
And yeah, I do like the added thickness. I could tell better once my digits thawed out! LOL
