ES300 serious problem
I was changing out my valve cover gaskets to repair a leak, I noticed my timing belt looked a little loose, I messed with it and it came off the top idler, no problem I thought I'll replace it, first off I can't get nut off the crankshaft, I tried an impact it wouldn't budge, wrench and cheeter bar no luck, then I decided to pull the cam sprockets off to inspect seals, as luck would have it I broke the edge off of one of the sprockets, any ideas on how to remove cam shaft sprocket with no belt on it, I soaked the crank nut in liquid wrench, will try again tomorrow, all this just trying to fix an oil leak.

Put the breaker bar with the socket on the crank bolt and put the end of the bar on the ground. Now have a helper crank the engine in short bursts while you watch. The engine rotates clockwise im pretty sure. The force of the engine will jam the bar into the ground and bust the bolt free. (At least it does on Subarus) Make sure you wear safety glasses and set the e-brake. BTW what kind of impact gun are you workin with?

es 300 serious problem
I used an air impact @ 120 psi, my friend has a garage/body shop, he lets me use a stall when I need it, I'm concerned about removing cam shaft sprocket, I may have to wait until I can get the old belt back around them to remove them .

I think there's some confusion. Areyou trying to remove the crank pulley, or are you trying to remove the campshaft pulley? Or , both? Are both giving you trouble?
