Default new big advice....!

ok im getting a new alarm indash the whole 9 yards....

im desiding that ill get the remote start i mean hey it is florida and the alarm is a mile range.... but heres the thing they said becuz my car has a immobleizer sooooo i have to ether take one of the two keys from my dad (which is a no lol) or... go and buy a new key.... ok soo heres the question....


can i just go to the dealership and have then program an uncut key??? or car i get a valet key.... which is easier i need to know very soon....

im pretty sure a valet key or a normal key will work. However, the idea behind this is that these keys give off a certain frequency to allow the car to start (lexus security) this is why they install one behind the dash. This way when you hit your remote start buttons it pulls that frequency off the stored key. So unfortunately for you, you need to get your dads key, take your chances and try the valet key, buy a new key from the dealer, or dont get remote start. A key blank will not work because it will not have the proper frequency for the car, this is why it cost so much to get a replacement from the dealer
