Welcome to the ClubLexus forum and the ES section!

You're probably about to get several suggestions to use the search tool, as you've asked one of the most common questions on here and it's been addressed multiple times in multiple threads - but I'll give you a head start with some links:
  • There's a good thread about increasing performance here.
  • There's a discussion about an available header set here, but no one here, or among our cousin Camrys at ToyotaNation.com has installed it yet. Feel free to be the first guinea pig!
  • There's a discussion about air intakes here.
  • There's a photo-based thread about aftermarket & Lexus brand wheel upgrades here.
The stickies at the top of the ES section has:
  • a "Hot ESs & Windoms Pics" so you can see how folks are tricking them out aesthetically.
  • The "Aero Parts Fitment" is a poorly titled section that actually shows body kits for the ES
  • There's a "DIY & Technical Tips" FAQ that shows many of the most common things done to/with the ES
Those eight threads will get you started for sure. Beyond that it's you and our old pal .

in the end i payed around 65-70. It will require some work(yes, drilling) to get it done since you have a second gen, just keep your old stuff around in case whatever you make doesn't work out.

Intakes are easy to do.

However, I would mess around with exhaust first if going for some power.
