Im thinking of changing the audio system in my ES 300. Will a flip up dvd screen fit? I noticed that the housing is quite large in the 2000 ES 300. Also, if I do change it, will it affect the stock sub? Can someone show a pic so I know what it would look like in a 2000 ES.
Well I have an 00 ES and I used to have a Pioneer AVIC-N2. Here's a picture of the first HU I had a JVC then my pioneer in the second picture. Cant really see too well but just to get an ideal.
It was a single din flip up screen. It fits pretty well but it does cover your vents when its up. I would defintely suggest an indash double din screen. Its looks cleaner and dosent cover ur vents. I know Scosche just came out with a double din kit for the ES. He's the info and I guess u can order one online or give them a call. http://www.scosche.com/press_room.aspx?id=125&year=2007
Yeah I believe the stock sub still works. If anyone knows for sure please chime in. I took out my stock sub to make space for my aftermarket subs. I have an extra wiring harness if u need it. And the install wasent hard at all. I think I have instructions on how to take out the stereo and speakers and all. If I find it I'll post the link.

Thanks again lexus fans!
If you're going for a screen, I say just go ahead and get a double din screen from alpine, kenwood, or pioneer. The flip out will block the a/c vents in the center and the double din will look much better than a single din IMO. A single din just leaves too much empty space.
THanks for the information. very helpfull. more question that I forgot to mention haha, will the stock cd changer in the glove area work with the new head unit I get and if there are any matching wood replacement for the black gaps? Ill be looking out for those installation info

the stock cd changer in the glove box will not work with an aftermarket headunit. As for the wood, you would have to get that customized. A few members on here actually found wood grain pieces on ebay and cut them out to fit the dash opening. good luck on whatever you decide to do
