Can someone tell me if the expansion valve something that a semi-knowledgable person such as myself can fix or is it a dealer or repair shop only repair? My AC won't get cold just cool air and there is freon in it, but I can't determine how much. I was quoted $275.00 - $375.00 to repair it by different shops. About $550.00 from the dealer.
