Question

Does anyone know if I can replace the big and restrictive air flow sensor on my 93 Es-300. I have heard that it uses a wind vane type of thing that has since been replaced with just an open sensor. This seems to be one reason the newer cars' sensors are so much smaller. Has anyone tried upgrading these. I think more horsepower would result. There are pictures of the old ones in the galleries.

Be careful if you wind up taking it off. Boxter4 messed with it trying to put on a new intake and bent the inside... his car wouldn't start and he wound up shelling out big bucks.
