I have talked with a rep from Arizona and he does claim that they fit our es models...I think they are priced reasonably ( I think he said around 380.00)
from what I gather ground control is somewhat connected to Eibach...but not certain.
of course they don't have the quality as TEIN or JIC but after reading an article on a sweet bimmer, I think they are quality enough for our rides!!! not to mention I hear that ground control uses a certain type of alluminum metal that does'nt rust the thread, unlike some skunk2 coilovers I saw on my friends honda and they where all rusted!

No. Ground Controls are horrible. They are not real coilovers. Just sleeves. They are springs that were wound by Eibach, but I have had several friends with horror stories of the suspension giving out on them while driving normally. Stay away from it. It's cheap for a reason.

Oh and they're more bouncy than cut springs. Not recommended.

do they have them for the 92-96?

I don't think they are more bouncy than cut springs, my friend has them on his 2001 Maxima with stock struts and they aren't bouncy at all....

He closed all gaps... I think he went down about 3 inches, maybe 4. Here is his car with my 18" Racing Harts on it

Thanks Juan01

gato, there is no gap... If any, you can't tell if there is. He didn't have to do any fender rolling, he currently has 19's on there, but remember that they probably have a bigger wheel well than our cars.

As for ride quality, it's pretty good man, I have ridden in there... front/back.

Probably on your friend's Maxima they work fine. Maximas don't have a rear independent suspension..they ride on a multilink setup. Not on any Camry based 4 wheel independent macpherson strut suspension. I have alot of friends who've made that mistake to go with ground controls to prove it. which is why they no longer have it on their car.

Do a search on the other Toyota boards out there...and everyone will tell you the same thing about GC. Unsafe and horrible.

sorry for the late reply, but gato, the coilovers came out to 1,155.90 with shipping and includes pillow mounts. ( I think it's a real good deal) again it was done through a group buy and I'm not sure how much they will offer them alone if they do offer them alone (without a GB)
the company is d2 and it's a upcoming company for coilovers in Taiwan. I believe that the ksport coils are basically the same but different brand name.
If it wasn't for this GB i would have bought the tein's ss for the solara I believe the automatic drop is like 2in and you can lower it even further. And as far as the groundcontrols I have looked a little into it and it doesn't sound to good of a product....well that’s my 2 cents, I hope it helps on your decision bro.
