Just revived a 2012, have a question about the a/c
Hello, new owner here and just revived a 2012 premium. Does it usually take a minute for the ac/heater to activate after starting the car? After the blower comes on if I shut off and restart car, it comes on instantly. If I wait a little before restarting I have to wait about a minute again before I can control it. I also notice that sometimes it will not remember the previous setting and reset itself to 75 degree.

that DEFINITELY doesn't seem normal to me, my A/C has always been instantaneous after starting the car, even if the petrol engine hasn't kicked in yet
also, if you are sharing the car with someone (husband/wife) with different keys, the setting might be stored based on the keys, sometimes in between drives, I would start the car and found wife's A/C setting on

I am the only driver and only have one key. But the reset always occur when I have to wait for that minute for the unit to turn on. It always resets to off, 75 degree, front blowing position. Can anyone else chime in please?

Is there anything to do about this? I can't use auto mode at all, as there's -13 F outside and it keeps blower off several minutes after cold start. Windscreen gets frosty from inside, and one must manually turn the blower on
This behaviour occurs when driving with normal mode, and "efficient ventilation" -setting is enabled.

I'm not much help here, as I keep my car inside and don't have this issue.
I also don't think I have efficient ventilation on my 15, but can't confirm that, as I don't have the car at the moment.
Have you tried turning off the efficient ventilation?
I know in one of my other cars, auto won't do anything until after the cars warmed up, but, if you put the front defrost on, it will start the fan at full right away.
That car has auto fan speed, and auto vents. So, for this to happen, I have to keep the fan speed on auto, and move the vents from auto to defrost.
I will have to check this out on my CT though, now that you've brought it up.

When Auto Climate is selected the system looks to IC engine temp before trying to supply
your choice of temp. Cold motor, no fan speed. Warm motor, more immediate action.
The Drive Mode selection of "ECO" will definitely affect the response of the Climate system.
