ODB2 Adapter comparison
The two main adapters I hear mentioned on the forums are Carista, which seems to have a strong presence here:
And the ScanGauge II:
Does anyone have experience with these or other ODBII adapters for the 200H?
I am specifically interested in one that can modify car options (ie. reverse beep, seatbelt beep), but also one that can run diagnostics. If an iPhone or tablet is required, iOS compatible is better, though I suppose I could jailbreak/dual boot my iPhone if needed.
It seems that the Carista has more features with its Android/iOS (iPhone) interface, but it also seems intuitive that with more direct wiring, Scangauge would be less prone to interfacing issues.
This thread may make more sense in the A/V Special Interest forum, but wanted to ask it here first.

Carista has a good website. They make both the hardware and software so they're both designed to work together smoothly. I have both and am currently on Android. I like the option to switch to IOS down the line and not have to buy another unit. I've used it on my ES 350 and LS 460 to change custom settings and read codes. I'm thinking it was about $50 for the reader and the app. They were running a special price on the reader... I've never used any other system. There are some threads on the forum about other systems if you do a search.

I have also heard mention of the ELM327 and BAFX, but not as often.

Got these by typing custom settings, you can try carista, obd2, tech stream
it'll take time and some combinations of terms
