Would you buy?
One thing that concerns me about Lexus is the F-Sport models. What if Lexus actually put the SPORT into F-Sport. There are rumors the IS-F is going away. What if, IF, the CT rose to take the place of the IS-F?
Say the CT250F? Take the 2.5L, Turbo, 6 speed transmission and sell it for around $40K?
Think it would get purchased?
The CT is a very sharp looking car and many of us have seen the body kits, wheels, etc. put on these cars aftermarket. What if Lexus REALLY pushed it factory wise?

mark my word, not gonna happen, at least that's what I think
from conception with european market in mind to now, the CT was never meant to be about performance , performance and MPG-conscious vehicle seldom go hand in hand, not to mention Lexus already trademarked CT300h, CT400h for all future variant with no CT-F in sight. In business sense, the $1000 F sport upgrade (I bought one) will make a lot more sense than a CT-F
my wild guess for the future of lexus based on the rumors that I've seen:
the F sport variant will be available across all the models (already happening). The LF-CC which just got approved for production will go under the RC designation when in market, in fact, they already trademark RC350 and RCF. The IS-F will most likely be phased out in favor of the IS F sport and RCF will become the dedicated F vehicle. After that, I think they will decide the fate of the 4 doors F (edit: which GS-F will most likely come out first)

also, in case you haven't noticed, the most expensive CT option is already hovering around $40k for MSRP
the cost for IS-F is $20k more than the IS350, so if there's a CT-F, it will be like $55k-ish and no one in the world will buy that...

^^^^^^^^^^^^ Truth. As much as I would love to a CT F, I highly doubt it'll happen. Now, I am interested in seeing the new CT300h. I have owned my CT200h for a few days now and I really think a more powerful model using the HS250h's powertrain would be a boon for enthusiasts who want more power.

Understand some of this is as much wish list as it is realistic.
A fully loaded CT200h F-sport is right around $41,500. You would swap out the components of the electric drive system with the turbo. The biggest difference would be upgraded the engine size. They COULD do it. I love the hybrid, I do. But what about a luxury Hot Hatch?
Like I said it may never happen but I think it would be sweet to do.
