Just got my new ride this week. Manual says 87+ for gas? The thought of not having to pony up for 91 octane sounds nice, but will the lower grade affect anything? Also, wondering if E Free gas would be the best option. Any thoughts? I want this car to last a looong time!

 

Just use regular ... I'm not a huge fan of E gas .. but it's hard to avoid. no benefit to more Octane unless the car can use it

 

with gas just make sure you are using a top tier fuel brand such as Shell Costco kirklands chevron texaco exxon mobil i think 66 and there are a few others i cant rememebr the name of but top tier is the goal keep it clean and runing good

 

The other Lexus vehicles I have owned required premium, it was a pleasant surprise to find out the CT didn’t require premium! That’s a win-win!!

 

I use Costco and I'm a snob. CT is just a Prius. in fact you'd do harm to your wallet and possibly your car w/ premium.
