hi I just finish my lease on my ct and I picked up a rx450h f sport and the dealer say just sign the lease end paper work so anything happen to the ct it wont be my fault. so after 2 month I got a letter from the toll saying I ran the toll and tell me to pay and the registration letter came too. do I just ignore it or have to call lexus about it? this my first time ending a lease car so sorry that I ask this dumb question

 

I would say any reasonable prudent person if given the evidence that showed the toll incident occurred AFTER you turned in your leased car, then it WAS NOT YOU. That is you have paperwork showing when you turned the car in, right? If indeed you have proof, then I would write to the toll department with a copy of all documents showing so and kindly ask them to look elsewhere for the violator to collect the fine.

 

This happend to my in wife's dad. Bought a car, ran the toll, didn't pay initially and got a letter a week letter to pay the toll. I suspect that the previous owner of the car got a letter in the mail, responded saying they no longer owned the vehicle and that bill was passed on to the next person.

 

alright i'll email the toll company tomorrow, I didn't expect to have these letter when I return my car
