Hey guys,

Pretty much signing papers on this car today. I've read many reviews and have talked to some who have owned one.

This forum has been helpful but I don't but about an hour or so left to explore so, I wanted to ask the questions which I'm sure you get a lot of....

What do I look for when I'm in front of the car, if any?
What am I looking for in regards to maintenance?
Timing belt interval?

Please share all your tips!

My buddy works here and is getting it for me for 12k drive off. Please also share if this is a good deal, which I think it is...

I looked up similar CTs, and they all seem to cost $13k to $15k for your year and mileage range. Looks like a good deal if it's just $12k with TTL.

Maintenance is simple, and your maintenance manual has the schedule. The car does have a timing chain, but it doesn't need to be replaced according to Toyota / Lexus.

 

oil change roughly every 10k, 0w20, full synthetic.

As mentioned above, timing chain is in the vehicle, not timing belt, so that's a good thing.

Other than that, just check your fluids here and there, brake pad and rotor life is pretty good due to the regenerative braking features on the cars, transmission is rock solid too.
