Prius tweak works on CT 200h
Fair enough. For me, spending 20 bucks or so, "value" doesn't really come into play. I spend more on coffee at the drive-thru every week. In five minutes, I customized everything I wanted to - that alone was worth 20 bucks. If my SES light ever comes on and need to read codes thrown, or reset the SES, etc, or I need to do my TPMS sensors, it's paid itself off. Add to that the ability to do pretty much ANY car out there with the Carista app with one purchase, and I believe "value" has been exceeded. Also, many options to customize do not exist on your Nav-equipped vehicle such as DRL's, (at least not on my NAV equipped LS460). Techstream will only do Toyota, whereas the Carista and dongle will work on many vehicle manufacturers (BMW, Audi, VW, Subaru, etc etc).

But, as I said in my original post, all I wanted was to turn off the backup beep and the seat belt chime. I do not care about turning off my DRL's, my windows opening that I cannot close without having to go to the car and using the key, etc.
I am able to change how the door locks work, how long my lights stay on inside and outside of the car (among a couple other things) all from my nav screen.
I put Carista on my phone because it was a free app, until I went to purchase it and it said $20.
I went to purchase it for the $20 and when it went to the screen to accept the purchase, it was $26 CAD. I tried it on both a Apple product and Android. I then emailed Carista, but unfortunately they said they can't change the price, as it's done through the google store and app store.
I have 5 cars, 2 are OBDII and 2 car OBD1 and the last is a carbureted car.
The one OBDII car has it's own custom tune, along with the tuner. So, the only car Carista would be useful to me is the CT.
I don't see the point in spending $20+, when I spent $0.99 for something else that did exactly what I wanted it to.
Now, had I not found this app, I probably would have bought Carista.
I most certainly wouldn't have went the Techstream way over Carista.
The whole point of me making this thread was for someone else who may have been in the same position as me....wanted to turn off 2 small things, and didn't want to have to pay for a product that can do more than what they wanted to do.
I hear ya, and I get exactly what you're saying.

So not sure if it would work on any other models. Including the Toyota branded cars.
