I hear you on the lack of decent aftermarket options, but honestly — don't knock the China Android units too quickly. I've actually found some of them to be pretty solid. They're surprisingly affordable and work well for the price, especially compared to some overpriced alternatives.

I actually got a CarPlay screen from China for my dad a while back — I think the brand was Aerisauto — and he’s been really happy with it. The price was literally half of what Hamilton charges, and honestly the quality felt the same to me since I’ve used both.
