no affect, just have the AFS light blink in the dash, some people remove the gauge cluster and cover that light with black type, I choose the easy way is unplug the AFS fuse, so no more blinking AFS light, I don't care about the auto level , I know you live in Dublin you are welcome to check my light out before you make any decision?

I know this may sound like a noob question, but does the stripped version still come with the LEDs? Also, anyone know if the color of the HID from previous models burn the same color as the new 2011 headlights? I'd hate for the LEDs and the HID to be different color but I'm highly interested in purchasing a set!

I bought the stripped headlights, because I allready have the HID, so I just transfer the bulbs and ballasts, it not hard to do, since you are in Columbus, I can help you out with that

still on the fence on this one, can't beat the price but people have the '12 IS are complaining their headlights have the same bubble effects the '11s have.

thats why I am on the fence about it as well. I wonder if anyone has thought about taking the lights apart sanding it down and repainting it themselves. I think if i pick these up and once they are out of warranty if it happens I will do it. Nothing I'm afraid of considering I already opened my 07 headlights and painted the housing black

I was thinking about picking up a set for my 09 is250 and I am in Dublin, Ohio as well. How difficult was the swap? If you have chance to share some info locally by all means I'd like to see your lights first hand.
