As Rafi mentioned it likely is prevalent in all model years. The transmission is controlled by a separate chip then the one that controls the rev limit. If the TC didn't unlock I think the car would shutter when the rev limiter is hit. Although max hp is reached at around 6200-6500rpm and drops off from there it now kinda makes sense why the earlier tunes showed a dramatic drop in hp above 6800rpm.

This is why I'll be hand delivering my ECU to Rafi or Simon when I'm next over their way on business!

Will then go back the following day to collect it.

I'm normally in NJ area for at least a week, so should be fine even if it ran over a day or two.

Hope the missing ECU is found soon.

That is exactly what I did. I am in Southern New Jersey on Business and packed my ECU in my carry-on. Met with Rafi yesterday, got my ECU flashed and picked up RR Racing's USRS as well as the AOS. Can't wait to get home and try my new goodies out.

Found it! USPS delivered to a box that only they had a key to! I had to wait by the mailbox and insist that they open all the parcel lockers as I watched. The lady thought i was crazy but who cares. I've drove about 20 miles with it and am happy with it so far. Roads are too congested to do any aggressive driving.

Again, this was my fault in choosing "no signature" required, and I will never do that again nor use USPS for anything with value/importance. Simon and Rafi were great in the meantime assuring me that they would help if it was a loss. Thanks guys!!

ISF4life, is there anyway you can video tape your tach, 1st and 2nd are too quick to notice but do a 3rd gear pull to redline to see if it slips after 6800.

In auto it's not an issue because the car doesn't go to the 7200 rev limit, it shifts itself way earlier.

If you have 30 minutes to spare, you'll be able to leave Rafi's with your ECU in hand, same day.

Good thing you found it.. That would have been terrible to lose it. Also, very glad to hear that you are happy with the results!

i'm trying to understand but what does the o2 delete in the tune do? Does it mean the CEL light just doesn't show up but the car still needs the o2 sensors to adjust A/F ratios based on the maps in the ECU right? Is it similar to what o2 simulators do?

The readings from the primary O2 sensors is what is used for the car to adjust itself/tune. The secondary sensors, which would be disabled with the tune, only tell if the catalytic converter is working properly. Disabling it will stop the car from thinking that the cats are bad/deleted. They're being turned off in the tune. Does not affect anything expect maybe emissions inspection.

Good question^^^^^What exactly is disabled like jspecvtec says above? Is it just the light (CEL) on the dash and the computer is still reading that there is no primary cats? So if you hook up a OBD reader to the car will the reader still show that there is codes popping up for no primary cats but the CEL is not showing on the cluster??

Maybe just a little bit more clarification on that would be cool....

Thx
