OC Lexus Dealership Recommendation
Hey guys, was wondering if there are any recommendations to bring in my car for the 60k service? My RWD 2014 IS350 FSport I've dug through the forums and a lot of recommendations point to Westminster, Tustin, and Neport Lexus dealerships... Thoughts? Also, anyone know how much the 60k service would be?
In connection to the 60k service, my pads needs to be replaced soon (front and rear), and was wondering if dealerships do the re-surfacing/pad replacement or do they just try to sell you replacement rotors? I'd do a DIY, but don't have the garage space/tools currently to do so... Average prices from the dealerships for this would be grateful to hear from as well so i know if I'd be quoted high or not.
Thanks!

Cost-wise, I would think YMMV, depending on what you want them to actually do and what condition your vehicle is in. If memory serves me correctly, the 60K maintenance is no different than the 30K mile maintenance: spark plugs, brake flush, filters, oil change and inspections- I would think majority of it a DIY'er or a local specialist shop could easily do.
Dealership will likely try to sell you on the transmission flush, which I've been told is a popular 'money maker'; however, not recommended by the manufacturer.
Personally I wouldn't pay more than a 3-4 hundred dollars for the 60K mile service.

I just went to Tustin for the first time last week and they were fine. I've been to Westminster, Longo, and Newport before as well. I do have an older IS250 and like you did not have time to or garage space to work on the car. they charged a $160 fee just to look at the car due to a cold crank grind which I knew was a known issue with the cam gears. I wanted to see if it was under warranty, and do the other recalls such as the airbags and sticky dash. they took care of me, providing a rental car for the week they worked on the car at no cost to me (all dealerships should do this at the minimum).
they will break down your options and you can defer or continue with the work. most dealerships do this, and you're welcome to get a quote from a service advisor over the phone before making the drive over. a 60k service is pretty common and they should have the number ready to tell you.

I had a positive experience at Tustin with my 2014 IS. My service consultant was Derek K. I had the car there for it's 5K and 10K service intervals. Service was excellent. For the 2016 IS, I took it to South County for the 5K and 10K service intervals because I bought the car there. This used to be Mission Viejo / Park Place years ago and I was not impressed back then (2002). The ownership now is completely committed to a great customer experience. I found the service experience to be professional, efficient, and friendly. In service, I worked with Mike M. for the 5K and Kevin S. for the 10K. I highly recommend South County Lexus based on my recent experience.

I've had service done at Newport Lexus and Longo. Both are nice, but I preferred my experience with Longo. John Chang was the Service Adviser recommended here on the forums so I specifically asked for him when I took in my ISF. He accommodated all of my specific requests and I liked the fact that you can see your car being worked on the entire time from behind the glass wall waiting room

I like Newport
I always take mine to Newport Lexus. I am still covered under warranty so I am not sure what they do price wise, but they are the only dealership that always has a loaner available for me, and they are quick to get me in and out.

So looking to get my 30k done on my is250. It’s 695 at Newport 635 at Westminster, for oil, brake fluid, and visuals on everything else. Never have heard of Dynamic so I will give them a call but do we have any other local shops I should be reaching out to? 700 after taxes for 2 fluid changes and 2 filters is ****ing robbery.

Dynamic is a very good place. I know one member here did not care for their experience. I have been going to Son for 12 years and have had major work done (timing belt, water pump etc and lower control arms on my former 1994 GS300) and then routine maintenance. Prices are very fair and Son is skilled technician. I've referred several friends to him and people are quite satisfied.

Used Cerritos and Westminster. I avoid Cerritos for any services, but the sales department is not too bad.
Neutral on Westminster. Very nice people and very accommodating, but they weren't able to fix two issues I had. 1) Vehicle pulling to the side and 2) steering wheel column creaks while turning left. Both situations were deemed "normal". Doubt they would call it normal if the problems existed in their personal cars. They're good for complimentary services though.
