Just found out insurance is going to reimburse me for MSRP of stock wheels as well as tires and lug nuts. About $2800...but its the principle of someone stealing that bugs the **** out of me

Get the wheels back and get reimbursed from insurance.
Do this, tell your friend to go check out the wheels. Just say hell offer 950-1000 cash for them. Have him Chek it out make sure they are yours. Then u call the cops and report there's a theft while your friend "goes to Get the money" show up when the cops show up wit proof And make him give you back your wheels.
