This sucks no power all around I am in alhambra. What kind of crap is this they should have this fixed in less than 24 hours the winds were not even that crazy
so after living in California for a almost 22 years now.. (umm all my life) this pretty much happens every year :|... we always get strong santa ana winds every single year. so this doesnt surprise me. lol..
i predict we will have flooding sometime winter time around the wet season and triple degree weather sometime around summer in the dry season
had a craving for BK went to the one in temple city on las tunas and rosemead
driving through temple city was like a zombie apocalypse, no power at all, only light was from cars driving through and to top it off BK was closed due to having no power
Be careful out there guys. My friend lives in Monterey Park area and on top of the power being out, trees are falling like crazy. I had to go to her place and pick her up to take her to the airport and was literally dodging large branches and sometimes half of a tree on the local streets!
Unfortunately for her, one of the trees hit her car too....
Stay away from the trees if your car is parked outside!!!!!
Noticed a nice gaping hole in a cloth covered swinging chair today. Also CSUF's baseball fence is completely blown down. Fun stuff. Hopefully no issues tomorrow going to Riverside
Look how fragile our infrastructure is. I certainly hope that we're better prepared for earthquakes and the like.
^^^For real!!
A little bit of wind and almost the whole city has no power, a tiny bit of rain and our streets get flooded, i really dont want to see the day LA county and surrounding areas get a real natural disaster that other parts of the US get all the time, we obviously would be in a whole lotta trouble!!
No not really, they are pretty weak too. I lived in California (LA) and Washington state all my life and there was one bad wind storm in the 90;s in WA and it reached maybe 65mph tops and it was for like two days or something. Very weak winds almost nothing compared to other parts of teh US.
Wind's this bad aren't really common. Where i live (Ontario area) gets 35mph winds at most every now and then. We were seeing wind speeds of 50mph+ the past couple days though. Some news reports had it as high as 60mph
