Doesn't CHP do that inspection for free?

Hil,
go to an asian place on bolsa.

I made the mistake once and went to some hole in the wall. He basically ripped me off.

He was retarded and said the SS brakes lines was not DOT approved. Anyhow, $500 later and i finally got the car certified.

NO, the chp will not do inspections. Basically what you need is a brake and light cert and you take that piece of paper to the DMV.

If you need more help or info, hit me up

The shop that aligned my car after I installed my daizen polyurethane bushings was an official gold shield brake and light adjustment shop. It was in Garden Grove if you want to drive down here. I'm not sure how much they'd charge for an inspection, but they did my alignment for like $40 bucks which was a lot cheaper than I have paid in the past.

I don't remember how lowered car friendly their machine is, but you can find out for yourself. I was still on my stocks when I changed out the bushings. I believe it was a 4 wheel alignment.

Just went to this place this afternoon. My car was able to get on their alignment racks with enough clearance at it's current height. And like Long said, they are an official gold shield brake and light adjustment shop from what I saw on their signs.

Do you have a number for the place? I might just end up taking it to the place I took it last time. They charged over $100 though.. and they made me swap out my rotors before I could go back and pass. Thanks Lee

^ Thanks Long. They charge $90 for their inspection

Just googled around and found a place for $70 in West LA so I'll probably go with that

For anyone else who may need this info, the place is:

A&M (Official Brake and Light Inspection Station)
1111 Santa Monica Blvd. (or Cole Ave. )
Los Angeles, CA 90038
