What's different this year is.....we have to charge. We don't make any profit. If we do it goes into the planning for the next event. The car show. The only other thing is the venue. We have never done an event at a high end dealership like this. We hope SoCal will continue to represent at EOS and we look forward to seeing all of you in 30 days.
Thanks for the clarification.

I do hope for a great meet. We have a lot of people interested in EOS, as well as the convoy to the event.

---

By the way, as far as the convoy is concerned, I do have three open seats in my car. If you don't want to drive, and want to go to the meet, all I ask if for a tank of gas...

Btw, I think those wheels would look good on your official pace car. LOL

Location: Meet at Jamba Juice at the Valencia Town Center at Magic Mountain Parkway and McBean Parkway.
Address: 27061 Mcbean Pkwy, Santa Clarita, CA
Date: Friday, September 28th.
Time: 6:00 PM departure (estimate 12:00 AM arrival in NorCal)

I just plan on shooting up the 5 Freeway, taking a rest/fuel break in Coalinga, and ending up at the Bay Area by midnight. No racing, no excessive speeding, no illegal stuff: it's just a simple ride straight shooting to EOS.

I have not planned on any overnight accomodations yet, and will most likely do so in the next couple of weeks.

If you want to join me in the drive, or have any recommendations/suggestions regarding this convoy, post it here. I will most likely lead, considering that I will be prominently driving a [you'll see].

I plan to return on Sunday evening, leaving NorCal by about 3PM and arriving back in SoCal by about 9PM. The return will most likely be determined by whatever everyone feels like by EOS.

LET'S DO THIS!!!

Default Accomodations:

Just checked Hotwire.com.

Here are a few choices:

1) Los Gatos: 4-star hotel for $225 a night.

2) Campbell (4 miles away): 4-star hotel for $75 a night.

3) San Jose Airport (10 miles away): 3.5-star hotel for $60 a night.

I might book a hotel here for Saturday night, since I may stay with family on Friday night...

Does anyone want to go to Santa Cruz to see The Mystery Spot!?!

Default Update:

My "special transportation" was cancelled.

I was going to rent the LS600hL for the trip (yeah, I have some privilages), but unfortunately, Toyota Corp is going to use the car for a special event for a Lexus Hybrid showcase the same weekend.

Therefore, I will have to use my IS350, if plans are confirmed.

Sorry guys. No Executive Seating for anyone during our convoy...

Phil,
Sorry to hear about the "Special Transportation" getting cancelled. Glad your coming though.
I see you haven't registered yet. Should do that soon.
Also, who else are you bringing with you in your convoy?

That's what this thread is for.

No one has confirmed whether they want to go or not. I haven't registered yet because no one has confirmed to ride up with me yet. Just playing the waiting game...

It seems like it's gonna be the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara (it's the only 4-star hotel in Santa Clara). It's about 16 miles from EOS.

Is that good? The price is great, but it's a bit further away...

The $44/night 2.5-star hotel is most likely the Best Western Lanai Gardens in San Jose. It's a suite, so you get a bed and a sofa bed, or two queen beds (always at least two beds). That's about 15 miles from EOS.
