I also posted my poor alignment experience at the Glendale Lexus.

Tech politely declined to align my car because my car had after-market 18" wheels.

I also had the car aligned in the past at the same dealer with the same wheels.

Glendale Lexus does not mind selling cars but it is very particular as to what it services.

At least you got a response from the Service Director.

Now where do I go to buy a LS430? Glendale Lexus? I wonder if the dealer will sell me a car...

I've been to Lexus of Glendale a few times, and it's been great every time. I've never had my car serviced (I do everything myself), but every time I need a part, they deliver great service, and their staff is very helpful and knowledgable.

Not to mention the free drinks, coffee, popcorn, putting green area, and awesome looking dealership

Yes, thanks for posting. It does go a ways in allowing us to understand that the dealership does care and I appreciate the followup. I do hope this does assist in making the dealership stronger and more successful.

Thumbs up

Blk97, would you like a job? I couldn't have given my dealership more props than you did. Thanks! I am glad that at least some of our guests are noticing.

GoldGS, I am sorry that you have had experiences that make you feel we are particular about servicing. We try very hard to help everyone; I have been training both consultants and techs that it is in our best interest to help everyone, regardless of how hard or nitpicky the issue is. We are Lexus, after all. That being said, we do have to make sure that we don't try to repair/help on something that we are not qualified in handling.

Anyway, glad that I am reading this more often. Y'all are a breath of fresh air after some of the concerns I hear at work.

Wow! Glad to have Shawn on board here on ClubLexus!

I'm actually going to take my car in for service on Monday for the TSB Brake Pad change on my IS. Will you be there in the morning Shawn? I would love to just say Hello and shake hands with you! Congrats on the baby!

My biggest concern when it comes to servicing my cars is respect for my car, and..uhhhh...washing it. I hope it comes out looking as dirty as it went in. LOL!

I will actually be off next week, one way or the other. If my little Lena keeps being stubborn and doesn't come by Monday, then we are going to induce. So, I will be off a week beginning tonight, tomorrow, Sunday, or Monday at the latest.

We do have a problem with the free car washes being kind of automatic. Make sure that your service consultant KNOWS no car wash! Use my name; it tends to to make things happen correctly. I have never figured out why.

BTW, you aren't doing the TSIB brake change because your brakes are at 2mm, are you? I had to sign off on one of those today. "Really? The brake dust didn't bother you until you had no brakes left?"

Ahh, Guess I'll have to meet Mr Wells next time.

Ugh...Car Washes....Automatic.... I feel a shiver down my spine.

LOL, Nah. I think I still got plenty of pad left. I have 8900 miles right now.

Excellent to know that I am not the only dealership employee utilizing the forums to help improve customer service! Shawn, if you're looking for any information re: Bluetooth or navigation problems that your Diag. Specialist/s can't help you out with, let me know! Anything that helps make everybody's lives easier should be shared!

So Philip......Know how to make the Lexus OEM remote engine start work on our cars? I know, what a loaded question.

just writing to say that i bought my 2008 gs450h at lexus of glendale through the internet department and they couldn't have been nicer. There are a lot of lexus dealerships closer to me so don't know how much service i will be getting there but it was the best car buying experience ive had. as far as the story that started this thread i would say that any dealership is entitled to a bad day/shift/whatever and give them another chance.
the one time i brought my car in to the service area because i heard a rattle i truly got a sense that the dealership and the employees took a lot of pride in the lexus brand.

Just went to Glendale Lexus the other day to get my oil change done. Not only was the service great, but the free condiments, popcorn, massage chair, green putting area, a/c, and a car wash.. it was one of the best $50 i spent for an oil change.

The only thing, i asked how much to change my rear brakes.. they quoted me $250! but i guess its expected from the dealership.

^ I thought they don't do just oil changes anymore? everytime i go there they tell me I have to get the x miles service package, but I tell them i have the prepaid maintenance thing and they oblige.

I was just there on thursday for my oil change and i dunno what happened, but when i got my car back, there were droplets on my driverside headlight and fender. I asked for no car wash also. I didn't think much of it cuz I thought it was just water droplets or something. I get home and those droplets are still there! i find out it's oil droplets! I pop the hood and there are oil droplets/smear marks all over my engine panels and underside of the hood! I can see someone tried to wipe it up but they did a half *** job at it. I cleaned up the engine area with some simple green. now i'm not an ASE certified mechanic, but when I changed my oil in my last car, I never got oil all over the engine bay. I find it surprising that a professional can be so careless to get oil all over the place and not even bother to clean it up good. now i'm starting to question the oil change... was it done correctly? or was it also half assed? I debated whether or not to contact the service advisor but I decided not to since he'll probably just tell me to bring it back in so they can detail the engine bay for me. i live about 25 miles from glendale so I just decided to clean it up myself and save me that trip and possibly more disappointment.

sorry to hear that..
I purchased my IS from Glendale Lexus last year and I gotta say
that no other dealers could beat the price that Glendale Lexus was offering..

I've never taken my car for service to Glendale..
I took it to Beverly Hill's Lexus and it was ok..

This is the exact reason why I do my own oil changes...

The low man on the todem pole usually gets the oil change cars.. and this is exactly the type of sloppy and/or rushed work you can expect from them..
(Quantity verses Quality)

My car will never see a dealership service bay, unless I bring in it for a warranty issue.. Even the thought of that makes me weary..

I bought my is350 from Peter(internet sales) from Glendale, the whole transaction went pretty smoothly. Glendale does have a nice facility with their 2 massageing chairs, Fuji bottled waters, popcorn, soda, coffee, TV, putting green, and laptop when it works.

During my purchase I declined the extended warranty option but they said they would throw in 12 free oil changes and warranty is fully refundable if not used during the warranty time period, so I bit.

Ive had 3 oil changes there thus far and each oil change took a min. of 2hrs and thats with an appointment. The last oil change took close to 3hrs which was ridiculous. I made my complaint about the wait and all they could tell me was they were very busy. Apparently. During this time I did not know that my free 12 oil changes is not restricted to only Glendale. So I make an appointment for oil change at another dealership in el monte and let me tell you I was in and out in about an hour. Not only that but they also have all the perks in the waiting room as well. There is a glass wall that seperates the workshop from the waiting area so you can see your car being worked on while watching TV or surfing their internet.
