no, it was somebody else, D1GP wasn't on the boards last year, but I contacted him, waiting for a response.

damn, they keep bumping up the price each time! it's so expensive now...$35 for one day?!? damn...if anyone can get them cheaper, i'd like to know too.

Personally, I can't justify any car show that is over $30. I've NEVER paid for a car show over $30 and will never do so.

I'll admit that I've paid a bit under $30, but those times are pretty rare. Usually, I have a friend who is able to give me a free ticket.

I remember back in the day when tickets used to be near $10. $20 is a good amount for admission. But anything more, and I simply have better things to spend my cash on...

yeah 35 is a lot! we just enter the carshow, pack the car with drinks, and split the price since we get two tickets. parkin is included...

well, i am currently dealing with the people who sell me the tickets, the prices have gone up, but we still get a discount, I just aren't sure what its gonna be yet.
i guess i can keep it posted, if you guys are interested,
last year i had a total of 20 people get tickets from me, most of them picked them up at the door, in that case the parking lot haha. we traded money there too.

whats up guys. this is the official d1gp on cl forum. really? 35 for 1 day is expensive? JGTC last year was more expensive than that and many people went. You guys will be surprised how much it costs for us to transport all the race cars from Japan. Total amount of ticket sales doesn't even cover that! So $35 is a good deal, there is even a 06 Tokyo Auto Salon pre-show. So just come for 2 days @ $40. That is only $20 bucks a day. As for discount ticket goes, there is a 3 dollar off coupon on Purehotmodels.com, Drifting.com, autoimportcraze.com. And Aristo 161, I wonder where you get those tickets from? :uh: Let me know. Oh yea, Steve Rodger of SR Motorcars will be entering the Driver Search. Good luck on him and his 2JZ-GTE powered Soarer. He is good. :thumbup:

you do realize that people (including myself) paid the $50 last year not as much for D1 as we did for the GT-Live races. D1 was included in the event at the last minute. thats why they had both D1 on sunday AND and XDL show on sat.

Since I have never atteneded a D-1 GP and this being my first, I dont think that the $35.00 is that expensive since I am use to paying more for racing events at Cal Speed Way (Curently race Go Karts at and attend IRL, Nascar events.), Irwindale (I use to race Go Karts at and attend other events) and I feel that this seems to be a good price for the amount of entertainment and other things going on at the booths and even the GIRLS who are around. This is just my honest opinion on how I feel about the cost and I understand that there are others that feel opposite, but this is my 2 cents worth. :egads:

Alright, I talked to Esteban (Aristo 161) and he told me that the tickets will be $30 for BOTH days, so even if you were planning to only go on Saturday, the tickets are still cheaper! He needs confirmation for how ever many tickets you guys want by Monday night, I'm guessing 5pm will be the deadline, unless he changes it. So post your name and how many tickets you want!

ok so i got word back from my buddy, he talked to someone from D1, i dont know who.
So here is the discount for this year.
$30 dollars, both days. Thats the only discount.

I have to know who wants to go SOON, latest by monday before 12 NOON!!!!! i pick up the tickets that night.
I dont check the thread often so call my cell phone to let me know how many tickets you guys need.

the way it works, which worked well last year, was I get your orders by phone, then i pick them up.
then i hand them to you in person either before or on the day of the event. then you give me the money then.

I am going for sure and it is kind of funny to hear lexus owner looking for discounts seeing how expensive lexus part and cars are.

Actually, parts arent that expensive if you go to Toyota and some of us got good deals on our car(s) :p

This is true but when I think of lexus I think of the VIP style, or am I wrong.
I also have a 92 5 speed. so were basically brothers.

haha, yours wouldnt happen to be beige also, would it? Well, IMO there are many shades of "Lexus," if you will, some people are totally into the VIP thing on one end of the spectrum, others are into making their cars uber fast/sporty on the other end, and whatever else falls in between.
