I hate Sacramento. This place has yet to serve or rub me in a right way in the past 5 years that I've been residing here.
But even so, houses here are not cheap. When I was in college, many houses here could be had for $150k or so about 7-8 years ago. Now they're upward in the $400k+ range.

If you're buying, a condo starts at $250,000 up to $450,000, unless you qualify for low-income housing ($120,000+). The cheapest living in CA is probably around the Sacramento area, or any outlying sprawl cities in the state.

Well guys,
After reading everyones opinion I am absolutely no further along!! Everyones opinion has been great but now I have 10 different places to look at!!!
I was trying to get some $$$ together to take a trip over to CA to check some places out. Most important to me is living somewhere that I can find the best job. Does anyone know which areas of CA have the highest/lowest employment rates??
Rich, gimme 6 months to get there and we will be meeting mad honies!!
Thx again,
Jonny
