Lamborghini Crashes in Chicago Suburbs

So tell me this, I've seen lots of video situations like (mostly corvettes) and ask myself, "why doesn't the driver brake hard as soon as the rear gives way?" There's plenty of room before he hits someone. So is it a matter of the driver thinking that the car will correct itself and regain rear traction, therefore doesn't slam on the brakes early? Is this it?
How would you correct/steer the car in this situation, or do you just slam on the brakes?

he shouldnt have lost control he wasnt going that fast...just needed to turn the wheels in the other direction....he kept the wheels turned in the wrong direction. I mean come on its AWD and he probably had the traction system disabled. wonder if it was an e-gear or actual manual trans? maybe drugs or alcohol?
my buddy had a superleggera and its a blast to drive. best car to date I have had the opportunity to drive. hated all the attn when I was driving it.
