Noise in the dash of a IS350.
Good morning everyone;
I hope everyone is doing well? I have a problem with the dash of my IS350 2008. It has been making noise for a while. My thing is should I just forget about it & deal with the noise or just take it in & hope that they get it fixed. I had a 2007 IS250 that did that also & I took it in. It was ok for a while but it always came back. I love my car but Lexus thing is "THE PURSUIT OF PERFECTION". Does anyone have this problem with there car also & what have you done to deal with it? Thank you all for your feedback.

The clips they used to adhere the dash to the firewall are faulty and make popping sounds. Their is a TSIB for this and the dash has to be removed. I had this TSIB done to my 2007 at the time along with a list of other bulletins.

It was odd that basically all of ours and others in the 2gen IS forums had the same sound. It was like a pebble hit the windshield in the middle. It was so annoying and startled me often. Once the TSB was done, it was fine. The winter did make my car rattle worse as always.

One of the clips that is defective lies right behind the center channel housing in the center of the dash. I produces a popping sound at times. The TSIB has the dash removed and new clips are provided to the Lexus techs. Furthermore, a felt kit is also included which is placed around the vents in the center, and around the analogue gauge cluster.

I had numerous dash rattle issues when I first got my 07 IS 250. Took to the Lexus dealer in Glenview(Bredemann) and they fixed it. It rattled right about the Navi.
They said when it's cold the plastic contracts and then when the car warms up it expands so the rattling would stop.
I don't know what they did to fix the issue, but the noise is gone!! Hope it doesn't come back though as others have posted.

The noise is by the driver side window & dash. When I push it down it is fine. I just took it out the other day & it was loud. Thank you all for your help. I have made an appointment to get it checked out & I will tell them about the TSIB that you guys were talking about.
