The Q8 IMO isn’t a coupe version, it’s it’s own model

How so? The Q8 is just the Q7 with less seats. Their wheelbases are identical. It's the same treatment that VW gave the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport.

They don't feel like the same vehicle though the way these coupe versions of the BMW and MB vehicles do. They have their own identity. The Q8's sheetmetal is entirely different from the Q7, the Atlas and Cross Sport are the same except for the back end and the roofline. Same identity.

Its like saying the MB CLS is a 4 door coupe version of the E Class. It absolutely is...but it doesn't look and feel that way.

This looks great, back end reminds me of the DBX and EV6. No idea why they're pretending it's a "concept" when the only thing not production-ready are some bits of the interior.

Not a fan at all. I don't like "coupe" roofline SUVs.. the only one I tolerate is the boxier Q8 which looks more like a hatchback.

Motorola, I think it looks horrible.
IMO, Genesis should subcontract their styling to Italdesign - that’s what Toyota used to do many decades ago.

Benz is generally most beautiful.
Lately, BMW at their best IMO.
Japanese styling is poor.
Koreans are worse.
Chinese are worse again.

If you think this looks horrible yet love BMW's latest laughingstocks like the XM, then clearly Genesis is doing something right.

Genesis sales are poor as always.

Go look up the vehicle with the highest markup (lowest supply relative to demand) in March, and come back and tell me what it is.

Sales for the GV80 decreased in 2022 compared to 2021. This new GV80 Coupe is the wrong direction for the brand. While I like the GV80 very much, I have noticed there are quite a few members on here that do not (odd). Genesis should’ve focussed on hybrids and higher horsepower engines. This GV80 Coupe looks awkward.

i think that coupe (in the video) looks surprisingly great.

i think it's based on the gv70 though not gv80?

i have no issue with suv coupes... it's a styling thing.

generally disliked by those with a rigid view that an suv must only be a practical box when people buy suvs for many reasons including higher seating position, ease of loading/unloading, ease of getting in/out, etc.

suv's ARE the 'new' sedans. sedans and coupes are niche vehicles.

No, it's definitely based on the GV80, check out the interior. In a way, Genesis already made an "SUV coupe" with the GV60 and its fastback, but the execution on this looks so much better and less egg-like IMO. Might have to do with the RWD proportions and double spoilers.
