Some OEM brackets come with double sided tapes. Still it's a hassle to take it off. If I get pulled over, I just put it on. Some go as far as photoshop it in to show the court.
See, your car and that Mazda and Lexus IS, front plates would look terrible. I see zero area for one where it would look clean. That's just these newer designs with the large grilles. I think your S-Class would look stupid with a front plate.
And I do feel you guys in different states, my spouse got several no front plate tickets in California when we were there. I never changed my TN plates lol. I remember people with G-Wagens with the plates upright in the windshield since the windshield is vertical.
I think on my LX it looks very clean. But yeah, if the holes weren't there in the bumper I wouldn't have gone out of my way to put it on.

Hah, I have a UT Alumni rear plate frame on my LS430.....it's so old and worn (bc I put it there when I graduated ages ago) but I love it.
Absolutely I'm NOT touching the front bumper with any vanity plates on my LS430 once it's repainted.

It doesn't look too bad:

Sorry, I just don't care for how that looks, don't be so sensitive.
For the topic of a front plate, I do think it depends a bit on the vehicle. They are required in my state. The front plate on my Tundra and on my Highlander don't really bother me. I hate it on the GS350, so I'm running without one on that car. I may end up with a fix-it ticket at some point but I'll deal with that if/when it happens.
I don't like that at all, it's just not clean. Would never go out of my way. But like I said the holes were already there in my case and I personally think it looks good on my vehicle, the choice of plate I used. If it was a full sized plate with a huge chrome Lexus logo it would look absolutely ridiculous, like this plate.
We just recently did away with the front plate requirement in my state, never really cared though since my family never ran them anyway since at least 2001 and we've never had issues.
